Early stage frozen shoulder

Posted , 2 users are following.

Hi all,

I have recently been diagnosed as early onset of frozen shoulder and I cant do it! the pain is agony and I'm constantly in tears. I do have a high pain level but this is just killing me. any advice is greatly recieved, what have you tried, what's worked and what to avoid. I am waiting on a referral to PT and I'm on Naproxen for the pain but on some days it just doesn't touch the sides! The pain is all the way down my arm and throbs badly and runs across my chest, is this normal? I am at the end of my teather and the thought of this much pain for 2 years is just so overwhelming!

sorry for ranting but I'm desperate.

Please look into a ortho surgeon who specializes in shoulders and who has repaired many shoulders over the years and really experience is very important and will be your healing road to recovery. Big hospitals not these clinics that pop up on ever big city street corner.

Frozen shoulder is excruciating pain and I'm surprised you haven't seen a pain specialist to help you thru the painful stages of this disease. tThey can give pain meds to manage the pain. Surgery will be the general treatment to end the severe shoulder pain. As most specialist seem to say when your ready for surgery is when its time,as coping with this type of pain is exhausting and takes a huge period out of your life.. Sending good vibes your way.

    hi chantell

    .

welcome to the FS group. aches dont it lol..

    .

you have to stay positive and strong. YOU CAN BEAT THE ACHES.

    .

i have had both shoulders frozen up to this year. its a silent personal fight that people don't under stand.

    .

especially the night aches. watching the sun rise after a horrible sleep.

    .

i used a aircast ic cryo cuff. it takes the pain away instantly. but it returns!!!!!.

    .

google hydro dilation of the shoulder it cost £550. it is instant. pain free and no aches. its worth every penny. if you pay its usually the following week.

    .

me i am at the worst end. just had ACR to the shoulder. 360 degree full release and 3 months recovering.

    .

HYDRO DILATION IS THE WAY OUT

    hi again chantell

    .

bit short on the last message. i used sports physio every week. yes it helped no it is not a cure. she had me wriggling in pain on the couch. did i feel better yes

    .

it was all about keeping the muscles from going i to spasm which i has lots of. we worked from the shoulder blades up to the skull. its all interconnected.

    .

i combined sport rock tape to support and assist the spasms. naproxen really did not help. just codeine and paracetamol of a night gave me 2 hours sleep.

    .

it was a customer that saw me in pain. i fitted a patio door. the worst pain i had was when i picked up the dust sheet. brought me to my knees.

    .

the customer recomemded an ortho surgeon. i saw him cost £100. then following week i had the hydro dialation. i danced out the hospital pain free and up to 75% movement.

    .

the procedure took 20 mins and was as painful as a ache

    colin
