Essential thrombocythaemia (ET) Medical Id?

Hi, im 31 with 2 young kids, after months of strange symptoms, I have been diagnosed with ET but not had much info from my consultant or doctor about it other than getting blood tests every 8 weeks so feeling rather lost and confused and wanted to know if i should get a medical id? just incase i need emergency treatment.

If any other ET paitents can answer my question and give some personal insight that would be a great help.
