Fasting before blood test

can not Fasting before a blood test give wrong results for blood sugar and cholesterol

    I think it can.

    But for some reason, where i live, they do not ask you to fast.

    I had blood work done in March, and I had eaten lunch about an hour before. They did ask when I had eaten last.

    My trig were 3.02- they normally are about 1.76. I didnt get a call about it.

    Also, as far as blood sugar, i think your testing would be different between fasting and non fasting.

    My blood sugar was 6.6 and A1C was 5.8

    If I had fasted , my blood sugar would have been less
