Feeling rejected by friends and family who dont understand my invisible illness

This is the first time I have written as part of a forum/community. But I have gotten to the point where I need support. I have come to realise that what is harder than having a chronic illness that is invisible is how you are treated as if you are making it all up. If people do not see you looking physically unwell they are less compassionate and understanding. What is worse is if it is close family and friends.

We go through so much as it is on a daily basis. If only they knew the struggle just to feel okay.

Has anyone else experienced this or is experiencing loosing friends and family over their chronic illness? and how do you cope with it?
