I have been suffering for well over a year now an I finally feel like am actually getting somewhere finally. I have appointment pain specialist to hopefully get the right meds for me. Also going to get checked by neuro team for any underlining problems an it's all been a big thanks to my urology nurses am feeling positive right now. I have more help off these two nurses than my own gp and four different hospitals.. Gentle hugs to all xx😊

Awwww UK....I moved here from there as a kid in 1959, so it must be about 12-1am..poor you...I had Fibro fir 10 years befire I was diagnosed...the then doctor just kept treating me for the different symptoms ....if ever I have moved and changed doctors..I always ask if they know much about Fibro first...you just have to your health into your own  hands sometimes...I believe if they don't know much about it well then they should educate themselves on it..that gies fir any illness really...a doctor with no knowledge if a Fibro is just not an excuse today...have a good sleep soon Kirsty...:-) xxx

Try to be positive Kirsty..I've found hospital doctors/registrars usually are no where near as knowledgeable  as specialists..they should refer you to one straight away if they don't know what's what....be hopeful of that good report..:-) xx

    Hi Kirsty,

Im so pleased for you that you're finally getting somewhere. I know a year feels like such a long time but to get the help and support with this this so soon is a real achievement. Congratulations on having health care professionals that have been so responsive. It took me almost seven years to finally get a diagnosis but when I did get a pain clinic referral it made a huge difference. I was able to get pain medication, acupuncture and a specialist pain psychologist, who really helped me to understand all I needed to know about pain and then some.

I truely hope you get as much benefit from them as I did.

Take care and gentle hugs xx

      Hi Kirsty,

lit sounds like you've had a really tough time of it. Didn't mean to make you feel like you were moaning. We all know how tough it is to live with fibro and the great thing about this site is that there's a wealth of info and support. We understand just how difficult it can be to get a diagnosis and getting the right support to help us all live the the myriad of symptoms and obstacles that fibro can throw at us.

Im genuinely pleased that you have really observant and understanding nurses who have listened and referred you. Good luck with the pain clinic and it would be good to know how you get on. By the way I live in Manchester so not that far away from you.

      Take care, gentle hugs xx
