Foot issues after ORIF ankle surgery.

I really hope someone can help. I had ORIF surgery for a broken fib, tib and dislocated ankle. I am 15 week post operation and have been full weight bearing for 1 month. For the past 2 weeks my toes have been moving involuntarily. My Orto. Surgeon is just telling me it is a part of the healing process. I am starting to get scared because it is affecting my working with my toes curling.

Is this normal or should I get some test to see if something is wrong? Has anyone else experienced this before?
