Gabapentin saved me from itching hell with no side effects

I see a lot of bad experiences with Gabapentin on this site. I expect that only the people that have had bad experiences seek out this site. In 2007/2008 I suffered 18 months of extreme itching from Growvers Disease. I finally went to a dermatologist at UCSF who prescribed Gabapentin. The itch stopped almost immediately. I took 300 mg every night for 13 years. I had no side effects. It gradually stopped working two years ago so I quit taking it with no problems. Like Grovers Disease, certain things help certain people but nothing helps everyone, I suspect Gabapentin affects different people in different ways. The extreme itching I had, and have again, was bad enough to put up with some side effects that I would have likely put up with for the relief I got.

    Apparently, I set up this account a few years ago when I had severe BPH symptoms which have since been resolved. I'll try to figure out how to set up the name I thought I was setting up which is itchyrich.
