General anesthesia and sleep apnea

here is my issue my surgeon is trying to scare the hell out of me . the risk are high for someone with bad sleep apnea and surgery. so with a machine or without whats the difference and im completely scared to have this surgery done

    You haven't said what the surgery is for or the likely duration and whether you have an underlying health condition which causes the sleep apnea.

    Rest assured you will have an opportunity to discuss your concerns with the anaesthetist before you are taken down to surgery. It's his or her job to keep you breathing while you are under. They know what they are doing and will almost certainly have encountered this before.
