GI and Reflux symtpoms

Hello,

I've had on/off GERD symptoms for probably 25 years- I am 53. I had an endoscopy about 2 years ago and was dx with mild esophagitis and put on 40 mg of omeprazole.

About 17 days ago, I got what I thought was food poisoning or a GI bug and had nausea, bloating, indigestion, constipation, cramps, gurgling, burning all over my GI, but mostly upper. I couldn't get in with my pcp so I went to the ER. They did an abdominal CT with contrast and said i had possible diverticulitis or colitis and put me on antibiotics. The antibiotics made me so incredibly sick that I went back to the ED again 4 days later. They did another abdominal CT with contrast and saw nothing.

My symptoms are getting a little better but not really, and now I have horrible GERD symptoms- pain in my chest, can't swallow well, constant belching and indigestion.

Has anyone had similar symptoms? I can' t believe a stomach virus could last 17 days. Of course I always jump to cancer, but i think the abdominal CT rules out all cancers, especially 2 CT's, and my endoscopy I hope rules out esophageal cancer even though it was 2 years ago.
