hair clumping together when washed

hi

I am 27 and my hair is thinning. I am trying to slow the process down by taking multivitamin, saw palmetto, zinc, pumpkin seed tablet and a vitamin tablet designed to help hair, nails and skin.

I have noticed probably for about a year or so now, when I wash my hair and leave it to dry after patting it down with a towel, it clumps together like I have put a styling product in i but i havent. This is mainly on top of my head. Once it is dry i can comb it and it is ok.

Does anyone know why this happens?
