Has anyone successfully cured their allergies / rhinitis by finding out exactly what the trigger is?

I'm told I have rhinitis but have never been able to figure out exactly what the trigger / cause is. The NHS did some kind of (what I presume was a basic) test and nothing came back from that. Anyone tried anything else that resulted in a successful diagnosis of the (allergen) trigger and were then able to manage their allergy / rhinitis better?
