Health anxiety through the roof.

I was diagnosed with IBS years ago and had a really bad flare up after taking antibiotics,.

diarreah and a lot of pain.

I also started getting left sided pain and thought that was kidney stones as I've had them before.

I decided to see the GP and had a blood test done which came back clear, she then ordered a stool test just to be thorough.

I was going to do the test yesterday until I read FIT suspected bowel cancer.......what!

I freaked out and haven't done it yet. The family are flying out to India next February for a wedding and if the stool test comes back positive I may have to cancel everything. I don't know what to do? I want to postpone it until we get back, my anxiety is through the roof. Help?
