4i injured shoulder at work in Sept. MRI showed frayed tendon, I have been doing PT for 3 months injection and have had no improvement. Now my arm feels like it weighs 10 pounds and aches constantly, no position is comfortable. My Dr. is kind of a jerk and said he can not do anything more. What can I do,this has hindered my life.

You should get a second opinion. Try finding a doctor that specializes in shoulder surgery. I have had both shoulders replaced 2005 and 2006. I did my own research and found first doctor at Duke University. He did my first shoulder replacement. Recovery was extremely slow with months of painful physical therapy. He left duke and referred me to his colleague at Duke. That doctor had a special technique and I am telling you I had very little pain and zero formal physical therapy. Along the way now have perfect range of motion of both shoulders.

    Sonya,

    I agree with Debbie...get a second opinion!

Sorry you are having so much pain and this is such a difficult time. Finding the right Doctor will make all the difference in turning this around.

I wish you the very best.

Hi Sonya, sorry to know that about your Doc. Can you not ask for a referral to a specialist? Many Doctors know the sort of pain you must be in and to be told they cant do anymore for you is not what you want to hear. I would seriously consider asking to be referred to a specialist. My GP to be fair is trying all routes to get to bottom of my pain but I cant imagine any Doctor condemning someone to a life of pain.. Good luck ,
