Hematoma advice

hi there! sunday i took a tumble of around 6ft out of bed in a motorhome (managed to miss the staircase because im an idiot)

landed fairly hard as you can expect, bruised face and sore neck but the worst part is that i have a large hematoma on my outer thigh with bruising around the area. when I first did it if I was generous it got to the size of a large mango and its settled into the size of an apple. I was dragged to a&e by my family and had an xray to confirm nothing was cracked or broken sunday evening.

main question is I've noticed the skin on top of the hematoma and around the general area is fairly numb now, the bruised part still stings and burns like a pig though! is it normal for some loss of sensation? I'm assuming it's just because of the blood or skin being stretched but thought I better ask for some advice
