hi, i cant comment on escitalopram but i have been on citalopram before and like with all tablets, they all take some time to kick in. like they say it takes a month but i find it takes longer than that and you dont feel like they are doing anything past the 6-8 week point then if suggest to talk to your doctor. because some people need higher dosages and some just dont respond to a certain drug so it might be a case of finding the right prescription for you. with me personally im trying escitalopram soon as i need to ask my dr about because apparently escitalopram is better for anxiety but i can remember last time i was on these type of drugs that they can take a full year to properly work. but dont get discouraged that you think they arent helping. they will for a fact work if you just wait it out. anyway just thought id give my perspective and ive hoped ive helped you in some way
