Hip pain after 8yr.

it's 8yr this month since I had my left hip done. I'm needing the other done, op for 2nd Jan got cancelled. I see the anesthetist today.

These last few weeks been getting sharp pains in it. not sure if it's because I need the other done. I have a very short stride at the moment, limping lots. Has anyone else had it.?

had 3 hip replacements and there are several different issues regarding pain and each one was different. it can be just flat out miserable waiting for surgery and stressful on the opposite hip as well as the whole body.

i hope your surgery is rescheduled soon and you can get back to a better quality of life .

it's quite common to have the second hip to require surgery and unfortunately the whole cycle of pain again. sending healing blessings your way.

Hey, I can totally relate! I had my hip surgery a few years back, and the waiting game for the second one was nerve-wracking. I experienced similar sharp pains before my second op, and it turned out the limping was putting extra strain, When I finally got it done, the relief was immense. Hand in there and talk yo your doc about that!
