Hit head on frame of car. No bruise or swelling but have headache. What should I do?

Yesterday, I was getting in my car and bumped my head on the frame of the door as I was sitting down. I felt the bump/scrape right in the middle of my head. I felt the 'whack!', rubbed my head and carried on driving.

I am a panicky person and have tried not to worry about it. However, after about 3-4hrs, I begun to have a headache. I took 400mg of ibuprofen and after 1hr, the pain seems to have subsided. I also did some cardio to get the blood flowing and I haven't lost any motor control or fell down.

I got my partner to check my skull and she can't see any bruising but it doesn't hurt when I press down on the bit that I hit.

I also had a nice meal since I hadn't eaten anything for about 7 hours.

Am I out of the danger zone? My logical part of my head is saying: you drove, you exercised and you've had a meal and you're totally fine. My panicky part is saying: You're going to have a brain bleed or concussion.

It's now been 24 hours, and my neck aches a bit. I'm not sure whether I should still go to the doctors? I would really like some reassurance, I'm kinda freaking out here.

    You are probably fine.

If however you feel confused , cant stand up, start to vomit or even just pass out you need urgent medical attention. let your partner know the warning signs.
