How long to wear TED stockings after arthroscopy

I had arthroscopy three days ago and was told to wear TED stockings, but was only given one pair and not told how long to wear them.  Does anyone know what the general advice is?

    I had my 7th arthroscopic surgery 2 days ago. Never had to wear Ted hose before. But after this surgery, was wearing them and told to keep wearing them until my follow up appointment next week. Had to take it off earlier to remove the dressing, but have it back on now.

    Had my op last Wednesday was told to wear the stockings for two weeks

    I had a total hip replacement on Friday 29th July. I have been told to wear these blighters for 6 WEEKS!!!

    God do I hate them. 6 weeks.

    What has anyone else been told?
