I had left thumb joint surgery 1 year ago. And my thumb is still numb and my fingers are still stiff

One year ago I had basil thumb joint surgery on my left thumb. After much physical therapy my thumb is still Numb and my fingers are still Stiff. I had a nerve induction study today and was told the results are borderline normal. Not sure what my surgeon will do at this point But I do not want another surgery on that Thumb. Has anyone out there experienced any of this?
