I’m 22 with hip pain for 18 months that flares up at night and shoots to the knee

ive had a pain in my right hip for 18 months which is sometimes excruciating and some weeks i can hardly feel it. ive been taking ibuprofen consistently which is the only thing that helps the pain. it started off put of nowhere and was immediately painful. it was a few months after an operation on my 5th toe on the right foot so not sure if that has had any impact. the pain is a usually a light constant numb pain through the day in my thigh and hip and in evenings can get really painful usually directly in the hip but sometimes radiates down my thigh and sometimes in my knee and at the back of the knee. the hip occasionally swells and bruises and i was convinced it was a hip problem but after having 2 mris on seperate occasions the hip specialist said that is wasnt a hip problem. i was usually quite sporty but this rules me out from doing anything as it tends to make it worse. could anyone help please im at a bit of a loss of where to go next
