I'm not sure what this is. Sudden Space Out

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure what this is, but I'm considering to go see a doctor. Just thought I would ask a community to see if there is something similar.

So my odd symptoms started about 5 years ago, but was rare. Recently, these episodes have started to become more common in whatever given situation I find myself in.

Always around 3pm-4:30pm, I gradually get incredibly drowsy like I'm about to fall asleep (despite being completely awake before and after), and unless I start walking around or going to the toilet (seems to help/like a placebo effect). Although, If I continue doing what I do, I suddenly completely space out for like 5-10sec.

I come back right after, realizing there's a empty slot in my memory for those 5-10sec. If I'm working , speaking or writing during that time, people around don't say I nodded off, but rather said I look spaced out/ day dreaming/ or said something that is complete non-sense.

In the past few months, this is starting to happen consistently (at least 5 times a week) between the time of day mentioned earlier, and unless I go walk around between that time, I will most likely "space out" for 5-10 sec.

is this something that resembles a non-motor seizure of some-type?

The spacing out sounds like what is known as an Absent Seizure. The 30 minute drowsy period I can't really explain.
