I think I might have cancer in my mouth?

When I was between 14-16 years old, I developed a growth in my mouth (on my cheek). I used to bite myself pretty hard so I figured it would just on away on its own. At one point I believed it did go down but I bit it again. Throughout the years I have poked at it and bothered it a bit but it has never gotten any worse. It has however moved from the back of my mouth to the front of my mouth (pretty near my lips) and it hurts now. Recently, I bit it....I bit it so hard the skin kinda split leaving a red, hard, angry lump in my mouth....I've looked up every std symptom and has also been screened for all stds (am clean) the only thing I can think of now is cancer, can anyone help me out (I am going to see a doctor as soon as I can). image
