I've developed a new pain in my leg.

Hi there, I've not been active with this site for quite a while now but I haven't forgotten you and how between you, you've helped me overcome a lot of problems. Anyway, I've now got another little niggle I could do with some advise about.

My brother, who's 4 1/2 years my senior developed PMR about 4 1/2 years before I did, which is quite handy as we can compare progress and problems. We have both started to suffer with a very sharp pain that starts at about hip level and travels down the front of the leg to the foot upper. Thigh, knee, shin and any bits in between. Sometimes it passes very quickly, other times it lingers for maybe 10 minutes. My brother has been suffering with this for a few months now whilst I've on been suffering a couple of days.

Does anybody have any ideas as to what this is? and any suggested remedies/treatments?
