Implant removal

Hello, I was wondering if someone could share their advice on this.

I have had the implant (the one in my arm) for 4 years straight now due to not wanting to get pregnant and I have had no issues. In that time I have had one parter who is my current boyfriend.

Due to our jobs we won't be seeing each other for 7 months straight. I was wondering if now would be a good opportunity to "give my body a rest" and take out the implant.

Before the implant I had a very light and inconsistent period (only a couple of times a year) and since being on the implant I haven't had one. I don't know if coming of the implant would be good for my health or if there would be no benefit for me taking out only to put it back in in 7 months time . I have had 2 impalnts so I know what it is like to remove it and to have it replaced.

Thank you for your help x
