Intermittent headaches

About a month ago I started experiencing random intense headaches that come and go along the day, on the right side of my head. And it has now been 4-5 days that the headaches are more frequent and more intense. They can cause nausea, tiredness and dizziness (when very frequent) and last only a few seconds. I suppose it is nothing, but there are at times debilitating and I'm wondering if it's worth checking with my GP.
