Is a blood test reliable when it comes to hsv-1 testing I need help?

so i recently tested positive for hsv-1 through a bloodtest but have heard that the results aren't always accurate is this true?

    Did you have any symptoms?

    If not, then you don't have to worry about it. you would be one of the 60% of people that have it already but it's dormant

    If you've ever had any kind of cold sore or blisters in your mouth that's HSV and it's very common. I did also see that false positive are likely but quite rare.
