Kidney stone stent Pain

Having stent removal tomorrow. Its been in for 5 days. I have read posts where others have had them in much longer .. Why ? Is mine being taken out too soon ? The pain is crazy right now. Cramping, hurts to pee. So so painful. Doctor said I would be uncomfortable for a bit. He didnt say anything about pain. But Im thinking this is really going to hurt because geez, just had surg 5 days ago. Has everything healed ? Also the removal is being done in the office. Some posts had it out at the hospital treated like another surgery ? Is it common to have removed in the office. Can someone tell me how painful this procedure is going to be ? I am dreading on one hand and cant wait on the other. Oh, and then are we still in pain after the stent is removed ?
