Low blood pressure and ativan

Posted , 2 users are following.

I have an exam today and I usually take 0.5mg ativan to calm my nerves, but my blood pressure has dropped a bit last couple of weeks mostly between 90/60 and 110/70. Is it okay to use Ativan If you have low blood pressure?

I don't know anything about ativan. But it might help you to know that my blood pressure has always been between 110/70 and 105/65 (for 30 years) and no one has ever told me I have low blood pressure, they call it 'the healthy end of normal'. (I have frequent blood pressure tests as part of the management of hypothyroidism).

    Good luck with your exam!

If you in the UK, a pharmacist should be able to answer this question, in person, or by phone.
