My doctor added 10 MG Lisopril to my 40 MG Nadolol

I've been taking the Nadolol for years. Lately my BP has often been 160/100. Today was my first day on Lisopril. My BP has been around 80/60. Very low. I talked to the doctor. He said take a half dose 5MG tomorrow. Even this scares me a little. I took hydrochlorizide in the past and it caused my BP to severely drop when standing so hes trying Lisopril. 10 MG is considered a low dose. Guess if I live through 10 MG, 5 should be safe. My weight is great. Low if anything. Doctors always seem to have my BP high or very low.

He changed me to 5MG and said go back to 10 if my BP goes back up. I've had flu like symptoms ever since I started taking this. Low grade fever, tired, muscle aches. No cold or cough. I read this is a possible side effect. I told my doctor and he said the chance is slim that this is causing it. I'll wait and see if I have a bug or if it's the Lisinopril.

It does seem that medication you are taking is causing heart rate issues. You should lower the dosages. I agree with the doctor.
