hello

im a 17 year old boy called andy. back in february 2007 my mother had terrible trouble eating and she was basically living of ribena and toast for a month. it was the 1 night she got severe pains in her upper abdomen and it wasnt normal she was having great difficulty breathing and she was practically crying in pain. but she insisted she didnt need an ambulance. so i made her promise she would go to the doctors the next morning. i got her up around 9am while i got her walking sticks she shouted im on trouble ! i went up stairs to see what was up and i found her outcold on the toilet with about 4 units (pints) of blood in the sink thats what the paramedic suggested and said there was. well in hospital on the same day she had emergency surgery and they sewed the olsers up 1 in the stomach and 1 in the bowel. it took about 10 days for her to get out of critical care back on to a ward but after all that we got her home only to find she had to go back because she had a blockage in her bowel and they needed to opeate again so they did and they patched her up again with the blockage removed. from then on in she was in intensive care for 3 weeks on about 19 drips and 4 life support machine which were a ventilator, cardio machine, stat screen,. drugs : voltramol, dicinol, diclofanac, warfrin, sedation, saline, and many more i cant spell or name but after that they had to switch her mahines off cause that was all that was keeping her alive sad

    Hi Andrew

My healing love to you. Your Mom was very special. I too lost my Mum to a duodenal ulcer. I have comfort knowing that my mum is at peace and free from pain but like you missing your Mom I too miss mine.

Make her proud Andrew and live your life to the full do all the good things your Mom would expect you to do.

    Best wishes

    May xx
