My son headbutted my nose and it still hurts, how long will it be sore for?

Last night I was trying to get my son ready for bed and he headbutted me right in the nose. I heard a crack (more like a click actually) and the pain was enough to bring me to tears. no blood, just some intense pain, a little swelling, and a very light bruise.. He's headbutted me a few times in the nose but never that hard. I keep forgetting that its sore so ill rub my nose and that sharp pain comes back. Just wanted to know how long the pain would be here because I'm realizing how much I touch my nose 😅
