No Appetite at all. Please help!

Hi,

I know this is a longshot, but I wondered if this loss of appetite forum is still active and how everyone that was suffering from this even several years ago are getting on. I am an older lady in my 70s and my husband died suddenly in his sleep, two years ago. Six months after he died. I had loss of appetite for two months which did gradually return. Now 18 months later I’m having exactly the same thing and it’s now been going on for three months. I never feel hungry have no appetite. the thought of food makes me feel nauseous . I even hate going into the supermarket now as the the food makes me nauseous. I’ve had blood tests and last year had a sigmoidoscopy and an ultrasound scan which was clear. The doctor seems to think appetite will return and it’s because of feeling low but its the appetite loss that is making me low as that is all I can think about , as it affects my life so much. I am making myself eat but I know I could go days without feeling hungry. I would love to hear how everyone that has been on this site in the past is getting on and if they could offer me any advice or reassurance. Thank you for reading this.
