No pain until 2-4 hours after BM

I have, what I assume is an anal fissure, but symptoms seem a bit weird. I don't really get any/much pain when actually going to the loo, and no pain at all until about 2-4 hours later when I get burning and shooting pains which can last several hours. is this normal for a fissure?

Yeah this can happen if you have had the fissure for a long time. Not much pain with bowel movements but you can have muscle spasm afterwards which can last for hours. In any event, as you very well know, it's essential to visit your primary care physician for an examination to make sure it's a fissure and not something else.
