Occasional pain near Liver

Posted , 6 users are following.

I go the pub about 3-4 times a week and drink quite a bit. I like socialising, been doing so for years now.

Recently been getting this occasional pain from the liver area (under right ribs).

It comes and goes. Could this be a sign of liver damage?

When i get this pain i am usually in the pub drinking.

If i press the area under my right rib cage about half way across i can feel pain. Is that pain in the Liver?

best to go get it checked out. no one here is a doctor. no one can advise with some one asks about liver pain... liver pain...it could mean a lot of things. no one else here has a crystal ball...?

look into AUD is a long term disease . alcohol can be something to start to slow down your weekly intake. i have no idea how much you drink but when someone complains of liver pain that says it all right there. you have experienced liver pain in the past....? in order to know what liver pain is? yes?

there are good alcohol counselors that can help you decide whats best for your future.

Barbara gave good advice. You should see a doctor and get tested. You are definitely drinking above the recommended weekly level. You have not listed how many units you drink weekly?

Mark, like Barbara and Robin said, it is better to seek professional help to deal with liver-related issues. And, get it checked soon.
