i have osteoarthritis and on the waiting list for a full hip replacement, recently i have noticed the change in pain from my hip raditing down my leg i have tried everything medications isnt touching it, cold hot compression Tens machine nothing is giving me any form of relieve, cannot get a doctors apt in utter agony I'm just waiting some relieved any recommendations or any ideas on how to get ease from this would be greatly appreciated

    Sorry osteo has effected your hip. it's always a good alternative for THR. I have had 3 THR.

    Each one was different and has improved my lifestyle and mobility.

    In reference to the pain you describe it could be the swelling in your leg is pressing on the sciatic nerve .

    Just what you needed while waiting for hip surgery. ask your surgeon if he can help by administering a pain block injection specifically for that area only to help you feel better while waiting for surgery.
