Pain after Gastroscopy

Posted , 1 user is following.

I had a gastroscopy 2 days ago due to swallowing issues. Although, there was nothing concerning for them, they took 6 biopsies. I felt some pain during them taking the biopsy in my esophagus and since then, every time I eat or drink....or even burp, i can really feel this pressure in my esophagus, where my breast bone is. It's making me anxious and on speaking with the hospital today, they just said that it's not normal and that if it doesn't go to go to A&E but that seems so extreme. I'd just like some advice from anyone to see if what I'm feeling is normal for a few days or if I should speak to the hospital again?
