Period started during usage of metronidazole (vag use)

As stated in the title, my period started a day after using my prescribed metronidazole. I'm on day three, period started today/did 3 dosage today, and already noticing the gel coming out with my flow..which was my concern. Will the medicine still do its job? I also took fluconazole every other day starting on the 23rd (i pretty much started all medication the same day).
