Pityriasis Rosea

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hi, I've been diagnosed with PR and I'm into my third week and it's awful.

I'm just wondering if it's normal to feel sickly and run down?

I have also had diarrhoea for 3 weeks aswell. I'm still going to work but really don't feel well. The doctor gave me a weeks course of steroids and antibiotics which helped at the time but after they had finished the spots came back worse and the poorly feeling as returned.

Please help!

Hi so sorry you feel so bad.

I just had PR.  I felt really tired and drained, but not sickly.  Never read anywhere about getting diarrhoea with PR either.

Mine lasted 4 weeks and was helped massively by steroids, sudocrem and sunbeds.  Plus antihistamines for the horrid itching.

      Hi, thanks for your reply.

No I haven't heard of that happening either. I'm back at the doctors on Tuesday so I'll see what happens.

The first doctor I saw said that pityriasis Rosea is a viral infection and I would feel unwell which is right but to be honest she looked at the spots and pressed a few bottoms on the computer and diagnosed PD and same with the second doctor. To be honest I don't think the pair of them know 100% that it is.

I don't recall seeing the H patch, but have read you don't always get one?

The Lord only knows.... I just wish it would go!

    Hi,

So sorry to hear you're having such a rough time. My PR started with flu like symptoms only and I had a tendency to feel quite fatigued.

I do hope you start to feel better soon.
