Possible Blood Clot - Forearm

Posted , 1 user is following.

For probably 3 months or more, now, I've had a small area (maybe penny sized) on top of my left forearm which is very sensitive to the tough, and slightly swollen. It's feint enough to where it's hard to see, but I've noticed, today, a slight bruising (bluish hue) to the area. With those symptoms, the only thing I've found that's likely is it being a small blood clot.

The other (strange?) symptom is that, occasionally, when I feel like I have some reflux and burp, I will feel it momentarily ache without being touched, as well.

I will schedule to see a physician when I am able. But, based on that info...

  1. Does it fit the description of a blood clot?
  2. Should I consider doing anything in the meantime to potentially treat it, such as taking ibuprofen?

Thank you!
