post total thyroidectomy and a fibrillation onset-how to evaluate L-thryoxine effects

Posted , 1 user is following.

I, 69 yo male, 180 pounds was put on 125 mcg's Levothyroxine after total thyroidectomy 6 months ago and initial TSH was 4.5, but now 6 months later TSH is 0.64 and onset of atrial fibrillation. No other obvious sign of too much Levothyroxine. I am wondering if anyone can help decision to lower TSH dose or change to a medicine that will increase free T3. Thank you. Maverick
