Pretty sure I have PR, hard not to feel down

Hi all,

Pretty much since lockdown started I think I've had PR. I think I first had the herald patch on my chest about 5-6 weeks ago (didn't know at first as I get acne and spots sometimes) and then other smaller spots have been appearing, at first mostly on my chest, some on my back and they are starting to appear on legs as well. Given the current situation I'm very cautious of going to the doctors (I'm with my 65+ parents so don't want to risk Covid) and I've read about PR and I'm pretty certain that's what I have. I've been keeping well moisturised and used an antihistamine cream to help with itching, and some of the spots went flaky but seem to have lightened in colour now, although new spots still seem to be appearing. From reading other posts I know that I just have to let it run it's course and it could take weeks, but of course I can't help but feel gross and down about it, and paranoid it's something worse or will never go away.

Sunshine really helps clear it up but yes you have to be very patient as stressing will only make it worse!!! You actually have an advantage ( you might not believe me) but as we are in lockdown nobody gets to see it and we all know how disgusting it makes you look and feel so hopefully you will be cleared up before socialising again!!!!

keep your chin up and take care

I feel the same way. Since being quarentined and having Covid I think I have everything under the sun. Terrible . I do have one patch of skin upper left outside thigh that I thought was ringworm but I thinks its not anymore.

I am going crazy everyday with different symptoms. I hesitate going to the Dr. due to the virus. image

Today the patch is tingling but not itchy and I just dont feel well.

      Hi Courtney,

I know this is a very late reply but I hope you were able to get it diagnosed and feel better now?

My PR has mostly gone at this point, but I know how you feel about getting health anxiety during covid. I keep overthinking that I might have a myriad of illnesses which is made so much worse by not being able to just go to the doctors as normal. The key is to not google anything too much (which I know is hard and I'm guilty of) and just go to the doctors if you're ever unsure to get peace of mind.

      Good luck! x
