Really bad post shingle nerve pain and burning sensation. Really need help and need advice

my mother is 76 years old living in the uk. she had a shingles outburst around her mid section of her spine all the way to the right breast (she only had it on the right side). she's been using OTC virasoothe for the itching and burning sensation and LMX prescribed by the doctor for temporary relief which numbs the area and a strong painkiller (forgot the name) for the nerve pain, but she cannot have that as it makes her constipated and she is a dialysis patient which limits her from what she can have. she has really bad post shingle nerve pain and burning sensation for over a month now, really need help as she is in alot of pain and not sleeping and we are not sleeping either, I am under remission from cancer and this is not helping me at all. Any help or advice is appreciated. thank you
