Redness and discoloration around head of penis

Posted , 6 users are following.

For about a month now, I have had this redness and discoloration around the head/glands of my penis. It doesnt really hurt although it feels hot sometimes. I am a 22 year old thats circumcised. It seems that it gets better/worse over time. I have also noticed inflammation around my urethra.Any answers will be very helpful.

A dermatologist prescribed an antinflammatory cream (pimecrolimus) and an antifungal (ketoconazole). These have helped a little but not much. There is redness and some itching on my testicles and base of penis which leads me to think yeast infection. And no inflmmation of fingernails

This is precisely what I had. 2nd post about the medication I used. Talk to your dermatologist about Tacrolimus Ointment 0.1%. It's not a steroid anti-inflammatory ointment that you apply twice a day for two weeks. Mine started clearing up within 48 hours. I hope this helps.

I have something similar (made a thread about it -- non-responding to steroid cream, had it for 8 months at this point).

Will look at trying this, thanks for the recommendation.
