Residual Bells Palsy

I had severe Bells Palsy on my left side of my face bout 5 years ago. An MRI confirmed an enlarged left facial nerve.

I thought i had recovered reasonably well but some time later i developed facial and neck twitches on my left side which subsequently migrated to my right side. In particular i get constant spasms of both my right and left platysma muscles. It is made worse by tensing my muscles.

People always ask me whether I ever smile which gets annoying. Obviously there us some residual weakness. My lips also twitch and my left eye seems smaller than my right eye. Neurologists are perplexed but just say it is nothing serious ie perhaps bells residual or dystonic spasms. Interestingly Botox does not work. Any one else experienced this as part of Bells Palsy residual?
