Ruptured Achilles’ tendon recovery

i had surgery on my achilles tendon 4 weeks ago been in a walking boot from the start with 3 wedges, i've just taken my first wedge out and my heel is still flat on the wedges wondered if this was normal, thought it would take a few days for it to get to level... people have said your achilles should tightened up a little as well.. but ive just got pain in my heel and below the incision from the operation...
