Sciatica - support cushions for car travel?

I've had sciatica for a couple of months and it's gradually getting better. It's not bad when I walk or stand upright but I had a 4-hour car journey yesterday and it was agony. I couldn't get comfortable in any position - couldn't lie down in the back seat because the dog takes up a lot of space! I've got a 3-hour train journey coming up in a week. Can anyone recommend any cushions or supports?
