Seizures after Shingles

Good Morning

My mum is 95 and had Shingles two weeks ago Pretty bad rash and blister to head and face going around eye too

Ongoing she has had the short sharp stabbing electric shock pains which were expected.

However what has been distressing is she has been having what we are calling seizures, they last 30 seconds to a minute. She is screaming in agony, shouting her head is on fire. Her arms and legs are flailing. once it subsides most times she is into a deep sleep for an hour plus. In between, apart from being very tired she is quite lucid.

Medication is regular paracetamol and 100g Gabapentin three times daily.

It seems she does get a bit of warning as she feels a heat on her face slowly rising Also sometimes we notice the stabbing pains seem to get more frequent. She is adamant that she is not going to the hospital and says she just wants to die. ( Although this isnt a constant theme)

Does anyone have experience of this situation?
