Hi all, I've been losing weight constantly since 4 years. it is gradual. i was 165lbs in 2018 and since then i have been losing around a lb every month. I'm at 115lbs . i started having food sensitivity in 2018. it was with spicy food at first but now I'm not able to tolerate most food. i had endoscopy and colonoscopy done. both normal except eosinophilic esophagitis. i developed peripheral neuropathy 2 years ago. i feel very weak and fatigue. I'm eating enough calories still keep losing weight. I'm constantly hungry. i get hungry about an hr after large meal. liver, kidney, CBC, all tests normal. been to 3 GI specialists but they don't seem to be concerned about weight loss. anyone has any idea?

Hi doc16482, hope you are doing better its been 11 months since your post. Just wanted to mention that years back I had similar symptoms, was constantly hungry, exhausted, even though I was eating often and a lot. My GP checked my blood sugar levels (fasting and after having a meal), which were normal.

Unfortunately, he missed the fact that I was hyperthyroid. The consequences were weight loss, and episodes of fatigue, muscle weakness and muscle pain. Years later I was finally diagnosed and treated for Graves' disease.

Chances are that your doctors have already done a thyroid function test, but in my case, I was young and healthy looking and the obvious thyroid disorder was missed.
