Shaking in hands and weakness in shoulder and arm?

Posted , 3 users are following.

Hello. For the last five months or so, I have been having problems with my shoulder in the form of being unable to lift my arm properly at the side without serious pain. Both of my hands recently have started to shake badly without even having to do anything strenous. Am concerned as the shaking just suddenly started and my GP is unsure of the cause of it. Anyone have any idea of what might be wrong?

Hi Nathan, If  you have had this problem for 5 months, its a bit concerning that your GP hasn't referred you by now to see a specialist, possibly a neurologist.  Go back to your GP and ask for a referral, or if not, often a simple blood test can reveal what might be wrong.  Hope you

Have just read your post again.  I misread it and thought you'd had the shaking hands for 5 months and not just recently.  Maybe its too soon for your GP to refer you but I imagine if the shaking continues, then he'll want to investigate.  Regarding your shoulder, could it be a frozen shoulder?  This is very painful and causes weakness and it does last a long time.  I know this from experience.
