Shingles after pain

i got shingles 18 months ago I still have severe after pain I've tried everything the doctor has prescribed and none work.
does anyone have any suggestions please

i have had shingles over 15 years had both vaccines for shingles. also have pain during a shingle flair and severe itching. hydroxyzine helps with itching sometimes but the small red blisters have spread to several other areas over time. some pain in my case is nerve pain PHN which has slowly developed over the years. severe shingles flair seems to become worse over time. meds for nerve pain dont help.
nor do the viral meds. there is a list on NHS of meds for shingles treatment. meds to numb the rash
control swelling etc. but in reality nothing works all the time. i have found it's a hit or miss depending on how far the disease has progressed and many other factors .
plz keep me updated if you have other meds to help.
